Bars and squares, once so common, seem scarcer these days, with people not baking as much as they once did. I'm with you - I love them and think we should try to stage a revival.

:)vegetablejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15449145190852647832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3046190876331796690.post-30433066957872729382009-12-31T11:30:24.567-08:002009-12-31T11:30:24.567-08:00My mom has made these every year and they are such...My mom has made these every year and they are such a sweet pillar to lean on!L*Joyhttp://www.soupsoon.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3046190876331796690.post-55233434636163596462009-12-21T08:11:20.385-08:002009-12-21T08:11:20.385-08:00I bought a spatula at the grocery store when I was...I bought a spatula at the grocery store when I was in school, and the recipe for "Magic Cookie Bars" was printed on the back of the package. I have a mental block to butterscotch chips and just can not use them or even have them near my kitchen. ;-)Heatherhttp://hecooksshecookswecook.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3046190876331796690.post-5734111133463336432009-12-18T22:18:09.921-08:002009-12-18T22:18:09.921-08:00They look so good!!!They look so good!!!My Persian Kitchenhttp://mypersiankitchen.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3046190876331796690.post-61084726963498007052009-12-18T17:39:05.739-08:002009-12-18T17:39:05.739-08:00We make these, but we call them Magic Cookie Bars,...We make these, but we call them Magic Cookie Bars, and omit the butterscotch chips! I've also heard them called 7-layer bars. Usually when I make them I do about half the milk over the crust and the other half over the rest of the toppings.
